Cookie Policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your preferences (so you don’t have to repeat yourself), measure how the site is used, and in some cases support advertising. LetGrow uses cookies in line with UK GDPR, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and Google’s Consent Mode v2.
Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function. Cannot be disabled. These do not track you across other sites.
- letgrow-cookie-consent(localStorage) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, so we don’t ask again. Stored on your device only. Persists until you clear your browser storage.
- letgrow_free_score_form, letgrow_get_started_form (sessionStorage) — keep your form inputs if you accidentally navigate away. Cleared when you close the tab.
Analytics
Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Set only when you click Accept all in the cookie banner. If you click Reject all, Google’s tags run in “cookieless ping” mode and do not set these cookies.
- _ga (Google Analytics) — distinguishes unique visitors. Stored for 24 months.
- _ga_M13ZKFVHXH (Google Analytics 4) — session and engagement tracking for our property. Stored for 24 months.
- _gid (Google Analytics) — distinguishes unique visitors over 24 hours. Stored for 24 hours.
Advertising
Used by Google Tag Manager to fire conversion events for Google Ads when you complete a meaningful action (free score signup, purchase). Only active when you accept cookies.
- _gcl_au (Google Ads / Tag Manager) — attributes a conversion to the ad you clicked. Stored for 90 days.
- _gcl_aw (Google Ads click ID) — preserves the gclid for ad attribution. Stored for 90 days.
Payment session
Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout pages (checkout.stripe.com) to process payments and prevent fraud. These are managed by Stripe under their own privacy and cookie notices. We never see your full card details.
Who has access to the data
Cookie data set by our analytics and ads tags is processed by:
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. IP anonymisation is enabled.
- Stripe Payments UK Ltd — only on the Stripe-hosted checkout pages.
We never sell your personal data to any third party.
How to manage cookies
You can change your mind at any time:
- Withdraw consent — clear your browser’s site data for letgrow.co.uk and reload the page. The banner will reappear and you can choose again.
- Block all cookies — most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their privacy settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge all support this). Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.
- Use private/incognito browsing — cookies set during the session are deleted when you close the window.
Your legal rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, including data linked to cookie identifiers. The full list of rights and how to exercise them is in our Privacy Policy.
If you believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our cookie use changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via the cookie banner.
